This Privacy Policy explains how Bastjan Prenaj ("Developer", "I") collects and handles your information when you use the Como mobile application (Beta).

1. Data Controller

I am a solo developer based in Switzerland. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), I am the controller of your personal data.

2. Data I Collect

To provide calorie tracking features, Como collects the following:

Account Information: Email address, used for login and data syncing.
Sensitive Health Data: Weight, height, age, and gender, used to calculate your caloric needs. Under Swiss law, health data is treated as sensitive personal data requiring a high level of protection.
User Content: Food photos and logs you submit for nutritional analysis.
Device and Crash Data: Basic device information and crash logs collected via Google Firebase to diagnose technical issues.

3. How I Use Your Data

Provide calorie estimates and track your nutrition goals.
Identify food items in photos via AI analysis.
Diagnose and fix technical issues during the beta period.

I do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. AI Food Analysis

Food photos you submit are sent to a third-party AI API (such as OpenAI or Google Gemini) for nutritional analysis. These providers process your photos securely and do not link your photos to your personal identity or use them to train their general models.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase: Used for user authentication, database hosting, and crash reporting. Data may be stored on servers located in the EU or the United States.
AI Processing Providers: Used for food image recognition and nutritional estimation.

6. Data Security

Encryption in Transit: All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS.
Encryption at Rest: Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers, which apply encryption at rest by default.

7. International Data Transfers

As a developer based in Switzerland using Google Firebase, your data may be transferred to and processed in the European Union or the United States. Google applies standard contractual clauses and other legal safeguards for such transfers.

8. Your Rights (Swiss nFADP and GDPR)

Access a copy of the data I hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
Withdraw your consent for health data processing at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

9. Account and Data Deletion

In-App: Use the account deletion option in the app settings.
By Email: Send a request to [email protected]. All deletion requests are fulfilled within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

Como is not intended for users under the age of 13. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the app evolves. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email.
